VILLA WOLMAR is a magnificent modern and elegant villa of 205m², which has been decorated by an Interior Designer.
VILLA WOLMAR is located on the west coast in WOLMAR, 2 minutes away from Flic-en-Flac, close to the La Pirogue, Sugar Beach, Hilton and Sofitel hotels.
The villa is at the entrance of the Wolmar Estate, a 600 hectare natural preservation area where 3000 stags, wild boar and monkeys live in a natural environment. The villa is 200m from the magnificent beach and the Wolmar lagoon, where swimming is compulsory!!!
It consists of an American- style kitchen which gives on to the interior living room which is used as a TV room, a large veranda of 40m² which includes the outdoor living room and a dining table which seats 10, the master bedroom with its en-suite bathroom and dressing room, and 2 other bedrooms and one bathroom.
The 750m² garden which is beautifully fitted out with various and colourful plants, includes an 8mx4m salt water pool, and a car park at the back of the house.
The garden is surrounded by a wall made up of superb demolition stones from ancient colonial houses, and you enter through an automatic gate with a code and a remote control.
Outside is the garden storage room, the laundry room with the washing machine, and a technical room which includes the pump, the generator, as well as a toilet and sink for the house staff.
VILLA WOLMAR has 2 double beds, 1 single bed and a spare bed (with a drawer that includes another mattress) and 2 baby cots. A spare bed is in the storage room. It can thus accommodate 4 to 5 adults, or 4 adults, 2 children and 2 babies maximum.
100m from the villa, you will find all the basic items you may require, as well as bread and newspapers.
At 1.5 Km you will find the first restaurants or bars, a supermarket, pharmacy, bank, etc.
HOUSEHOLD STAFF
Is mainly made up of Stéphanie, the housekeeper, who is also an excellent cook, present 4hrs per day from Monday to Saturday (except for Bank holidays). It is up to you to arrange her time of arrival depending on your style of life.
She will take care of the cleaning, the cooking and washing up, the laundry as well as the ironing -depending on the amount involved – and these services are included in the price of the villa.
Tipping is at your discretion.
Additional hours/baby sitting.
You can arrange additional hours or baby sitting directly with her, while giving her minimum advance notice. For your information, the rate would vary between 3 to 5 Euros per hour if it is the weekend or a bank holiday.
She speaks French very well, and can also get along in English.
There is also a gardener 3 times a week in the afternoon, and the pool cleaner comes once a week as the pool has an automatic cleaning system.
VARIOUS INFORMATION
Caretaker
The owner has hired the services of a caretaker who will meet you at your request on your arrival, and who will indicate good plans according to your preferences, will make your excursion reservations should you wish it, and will give you a cell phone with Rs. 200 credit to make calls from anywhere on the island if required, as well as a restaurant card giving you a 15% discount in affiliated restaurants (usually very good restaurants).
The owner pays for this service, so you are not liable for any additional charges.
Security – Alarm
A security alarm with a shock alarm on every opening as well as movement detectors are installed in the house. The alarm is connected to a professional security company (Brinks).
A pool alarm is also set aside and installed on request.
The windows are equipped with iron bars.
The veranda is equipped with a transparent electric rolling blind with a remote control.
The sliding doors of the 2 master bedrooms and living room are fitted with removable security bars.
Communication/TV
ADSL WIFI Internet is available in the entire house.
Wireless telephone for free local phone calls.
Satellite TV is installed on the 37’ LCD screen with 20 channels and several radio stations.
DVD player.
Generator
A 5.5Kva generator is set aside.
It is sufficient enough to operate all the essential house equipment as well as the air conditioning during the night.
Water
Drinking water is available in the entire house.
There is a 7500 L underground water reservoir, with a 3 bars pump.
2 water faucets in the courtyard with watering hoses.
Solar heated water heater of 300 L, with an electric booster should it be needed.
Hot water is also available in the kitchen.
Linen
Sheets, towels and beach towels are provided at no additional charge.
Crockery
All kitchen utensils are provided.
Barbecue
A roll-away WEBER barbecue is stored under the veranda.
Master Bedroom
Very spacious (22m²) and isolated from the rest of the house, with a 2m x 2m10 bed, a desk, chair, and shelf unit.
It is equipped with air conditioning and a fan.
Large 3m sliding door that gives directly onto the pool area with a removable security gate.
En-suite large bathroom (15m²) with separate water closet, bathtub, 2 sinks with a large mirror, large glass enclosed shower, closets and towel racks.
En-suite dressing room with cupboards, drawers, wardrobe and safe deposit box.
Room No 2
Comfortable room measuring 14m² with a 1m80 x 2m05 double bed.
Air conditioning.
Closet that includes a wardrobe, shelf and drawer.
Table with drawer and one chair, 2 bedside tables.
Large 2m40 sliding door that looks out onto the pool area, with a removable security gate.
This room has a connecting bathroom and water closet, all of which is separated from the rest of the house by a double sliding door.
Room No 3
Room of 3.30 meters x 2.80 meters. It includes a single bed 0,90 x 2 meters , (with a drawer that contains another single bed, + 0,85 meters), a night table, a closet with wardrobe, shelves and drawers.
Air conditioning.
Looks out onto the courtyard.
It is usually in this room that the cots are placed or the additional bed that is in the storage unit.
Kitchen
American-style kitchen that gives onto the TV room.
It is equipped with an American refrigerator with water and ice dispensers, fitted oven and microwave, dishwasher, two sinks with hot water, 4 gas and 1 electric hob fitted into granite, cooker hood, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, all kitchen utensils, cupboard and shelve, a granite table that extends from the worktop and can accommodate 4 people.
This table allows you to eat while watching the television in the living room with its 37’ LCD HD screen.
You can also relax on the comfortable couches in the TV room.
These two rooms which are connecting are both air conditioned and the TV room also has a fan.
The windows in both the living room and the kitchen have wooden blinds.
Veranda which gives onto the pool area
It is a large 40m² veranda with a living area and eating corner. It connects directly with the inside living room and the American-style kitchen and opens out onto the pool area and pool.
The living area includes two 3-seater couches, 2 single armchairs, a coffee table, and a corner table.
The table which seats 10 people has 8 chairs as the 2 armchairs can also be used if necessary.
The veranda has two ceiling fans.
There are two transparent rolling blinds with remote controls to close off the veranda. This function is often used by the occupants of the villa in the evenings when it is chillier or when they want the children to play inside. Meanwhile they can still appreciate the view of the pool and garden.
Pool and Pool Area
The pool is 8m long and 4m wide, the depth is between 0.9 and 1m70, that is to say 50m3.
It operates with a salt treatment which is programmed 4 times a day, and a barracuda cleans the bottom of the pool automatically.
A pool alarm is also kept aside and can be installed on request.
The pool area includes 4 deckchairs with mattresses, a dining table under a coconut tree that seats 4 people, and 2 parasols. Rubber rings allow you to stay in the water while sipping your cocktail in the sun.
An outdoor shower allows you to rinse off when coming out of the pool.
At the back of the house, within the confines of the villa, there is a parking area which can accommodate 4-5 cars.
The well kept garden is fitted out with tasteful, colourful and varied plants all around the house.
The WEBER portable barbecue is never very far from the pool and ready to be used.
Beach/Boat
A magnificent beach which is nearly deserted during the week is 200m walk away and on the way you will find a mini supermarket which sells beverages and ice cream.
The lagoon is between 1m80 and 1m20 deep depending on the tide, and the reefs are approximately 250-300m away.
Several beach restaurants (in the hotels) are scattered in a range of 400-500m.
Certain boat excursions leave from here, in particular fishing, the ride to see the dolphins, or the picnics on the small island of Benitiers.
The owner has put in a request to obtain a permit so that his personal boat with a qualified skipper can be made available to his house guests.
This activity will be paying, but will remain less expensive then the prices that are applied to the public.
